The Internet of Things includes digital health technologies that are expected to revolutionize healthcare – from apps to wearables to home sensors. But are they truly useful and usable for those with complex health needs?
With a focus on older adults, during this course you’ll learn about how health problems can be managed with technology, and the different aspects of developing a useful health tool. Using a case study, you’ll learn why current digital health tools often fail and how to improve them.
You’ll also explore Taiwan’s health policies including ‘active aging’ and ‘age-friendly cities’.
There are no special requirements for this course but an interest in healthcare, technology or Taiwan would be useful.
